WHAT TO BRING
Kids should bring their own hat, sneakers or cleats, glove, and helmet, if they have one. We have extra helmets, but we strongly recommend that all ballplayers have their own helmet that fits comfortably. You can buy them online or at Dick's Sporting Goods or on our CSB Swag website.
Boys who play the catcher position must wear protective cups. No metal cleats and no slides allowed. And always send water!
COST
The cost is $25 per kid, refundable until48 hours before the day each program begins. After that, there are no refunds.
The program is cancelled in the event of a hard rain, or thunder or lightning. In this case, all refunds will be processed within one business day.
There are no make-up days.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it rains?
- We almost never cancel before game day, as sometimes the forecast is wrong.
- If we do cancel, we'll send an email to the group. We usually don't send one if it is NOT cancelled. (Similar to an umpire yelling FOUL BALL. They don't say anything if the ball is NOT foul)
- If the field is unplayable on game day, we email the Members as soon as possible. This can come as late as one hour before your session time or, in the case of an unexpected rain, even later.
- If it is not raining and the field is playable before the first group begins, we head out to set up the field.
- During the day, if rain makes the field unplayable, or in the case of thunder or lightning, we stop play immediately and instruct the kids to head home. We do not leave until the last kid has an exit plan and is off the field. Once we pack up the equipment and return home, we'll send an email updating the remaining groups. This can be up to 20 minutes after we abandon the field.
What about pick up and drop off?
Arrival and pickup is at the PONY baseball field. There is no supervision until kids are on the field. If your kid requires pickup/drop off, please make sure to check this box during registration.
