Coach Scot Weekday Special
Give your kid(s) a fun day off while also improving their baseball skills. When school takes a weekday off, Coach Scot Baseball organizes daily or weekly programs that emphasize fundamentals and some advanced baseball skills in a safe and organized, age-appropriate session.
Our planned skills and drills sessions will keep your kid(s) active and their baseball skills alive, and will level up every kid’s game, regardless of where they stand now. And we play a “pickup” game at the end of each session!
We will also provide a “profile” when the session is over so you can get feedback on what your kid does well and what they need to work on
School Break programs are fee-based. Space is limited.
Ages
One-day program sessions are for kids in grades 1-8. Instructional groups will be divided by age and ability.

The program runs on specific weekdays when public schools are closed. This includes Veteran's Day, Columbus Day, Administrative Days, etc. Check the registration list on the right side to sign up for the appropriate day.
Where
Sessions take place at our fields on Roosevelt Island, which can be outdoors (Pony Field, Capobianco Field), or indoors, (PS/IS 217, Sportspark). Check the session's registration field on the right for more information.

Sessions usually run for half days or full days. Check the session's registration field on the right for more information.
WHAT TO BRING
Kids should bring their own hat, sneakers or cleats, glove, and helmet, if they have one. We have extra helmets, but we strongly recommend that all ballplayers have their own helmet that fits comfortably. You can buy them online or at Dick's Sporting Goods or on our CSB Swag website.
Boys who play the catcher position must wear protective cups. No metal cleats and no slides allowed. And always send water!
COST
Check the session's registration tile on the right for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it rains when using the outdoor fields?
- We almost never cancel before game day, as sometimes the forecast is wrong. If we do cancel, we'll send an email to the group no more than 24 hours prior to the first session.
- If the field is unplayable on game day, we email the Members as soon as possible. This can come as late as one hour before your session time or, in the case of an unexpected rain, even later.
- During the day, if rain makes the field unplayable, or in the case of thunder or lightning, we stop play immediately and instruct the kids to head home. We do not leave until the last kid has an exit plan and is off the field. Once we pack up the equipment and return home, we'll send an email updating the remaining groups. This can be up to 20 minutes after we abandon the field.
- In the event of rain, refunds will be given with a prorated amount. (ie. If we cancel half of the session, we will refund half of the registration fee).
- All sessions using indoor fields remain in place during rain and snow.
What about pick up and drop off?
Arrival and pickup is at the session location. There is no supervision until kids are on the field. If your kid requires pickup/drop off, please make sure to check this box during registration.
