Coach Scot Summer Weekdays

Looking for the perfect way to keep your kids active, engaged, and having a blast this summer? Our brand-new Roosevelt Island Summer Activities program is here, for children ages 7-14! With a primary focus on baseball, we will include other activities that promote outdoor fun, sportsmanship, and energy. Our coaches are teaming up to bring your kids team sports and team building activities—all designed to build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love for movement. Give your child a summer filled with excitement, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Ages

Open to kids over the age of 7 and under 15 years old, as of the first day of the program.

Where

Activities take place on Capobianco Field and Courts, across from PS/IS 217 on Roosevelt Island.

When

A Program week is Monday through Friday.

There are 8 program weeks in July and August, see the Registration box on the right for exact weeks.

There are two session times each day; 9a - 12p and 1p - 4p. You can sign up for mornings, or afternoons, or both.

If your child(ren) is attending both sessions in the same week, there is a 10% discount automatically applied.

There is a discount code for families enrolling multiple children in camp! The discount applies to every child after the first one, but here’s how it works: It applies to the same number of sessions as the first child is signed up for—or the number of sessions the additional child is signing up for, whichever is fewer.

For example, if your first child is enrolled for 5 sessions, then your second child can receive the discount for up to 5 sessions—but if they’re only attending 3 sessions, the discount can only be applied to those 3. Contact us for the code.

Activities

There is a focus on baseball. Additionally, each session will include other team-based activities created so that kids of all ages can participate in a fair and competitive environment.

Activities include Frisbee Golf, Volleyball, Soccer, Kickball, Basketball, Bocce ball, and so much more!

Registration Information

You can register for one or multiple weeks, and for one or both daily sessions. NOTE: Every kid you register is a separate transaction. To enter multiple kids, you must start a new Registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What clothing and supplies should my child(ren) have?

Please make sure kids are wearing active and comfortable clothing. You may send water or a sports drink, there will be a refreshment break. Kids who stay for both sessions will have time to eat lunch with supervision.

What about food and drinks?

No meals or snacks are provided.

There will be supervision for kids who stay between sessions to eat their lunch, (lunch not provided).

What about refunds or cancellations?

Full refunds for the four July sessions are allowed until June 16. Between June 15 and June 23, 50% refunds are allowed. After June 23, there are no refunds for the July sessions.

Full refunds for the four August sessions are allowed until July 13. Between July 13 and July 25, 50% refunds are allowed. After July 25, there are no refunds for the August sessions.

What do you do if it rains?

Our plan is to bring the kids into a community room in the event of rain or lightning in the area. You may keep your child home in the rain, but there will be no credit for missed days.

How are the groups/teams created?

Each week, we will create "Teams" with an even mix of boys and girls and all ages on each Team, so every team will have both younger and older kids on them. Then the games and activities will be split up so that younger kids only play against other younger kids, older kids only play against other older kids. This way, the older kids on the Team can cheer on and support the younger kids, and vice versa.

Coach Scot-Summer Program 2026

The 2026 summer weekday program runs Monday - Friday each week, beginning on July 6 and through August 28. Sign up by the week for mornings or afternoons, or full day. You can sign up for one or multiple weeks.

Registration begins Feb 2. Early bird prices will be in effect during all of February.
