Coach Scot - Girls Softball

Coach Scot Baseball is proud to introduce a Girls' Softball Program! This program runs on weekdays, after school, on Roosevelt Island. The program combines softball specific drills, practice, and games!

Ages

Girls in grades 5- 9 are eligible to play.

Days

Currently running only in the fall on weekdays after school. Sessions will run on multiple days, allowing you to choose the days you want to play. See the box on the right for more information.

Where

All activities take place on Pony Field on Roosevelt Island. (See the RESOURCES dropdown above for field locations).

TIMES

After school, from 4p to 6pm.

What to Bring

Kids should bring their own hat, sneakers or cleats, glove, and helmet, if they have one. We have extra helmets, but we strongly recommend that all ballplayers have their own helmet that fits comfortably. You can buy them online or at Dick's Sporting Goods or on our CSB Swag website.

And always send water!

Frequently Asked Questions

What about pickup and dropoff?

Arrival and pickup is at the session location. There is no supervision until kids are on the field. If your kid requires pickup/drop off, please make sure to check this box during registration.

What about rainy days?

We play if the rain is light and the field is playable.
If the field is unplayable on game day, we email the Members as soon as possible. This can come as late as one hour before your session time or, in the case of an unexpected rain, even later.
During the day, if rain makes the field unplayable, or in the case of thunder or lightning, we stop play immediately and instruct the kids to head home. We do not leave until the last kid has an exit plan and is off the field. Once we pack up the equipment and return home, we'll send an email updating the group. This can be up to 20 minutes after we abandon the field.
If rain cancels out a game/practice, there will be make-up days. Make up days are during the season.

Coach Scot-Fall Softball 2026

The 2026 fall Softball program runs on weekdays after school from September 14 through October 8. The times are 4p - 6pm. You can choose either the Monday & Wednesday option or the Tuesday & Thursday option. That's 4 weeks, twice per week, or 8 2-hour sessions for only $199 !

Days and times are tentative. Final days and times will be posted when Registration opens on June 30.
